There’s something about this time of year that naturally invites a bit more movement. The days feel lighter, the air changes slightly, and without really thinking about it, the body begins to shift out of that heavier winter feeling. It’s a small change, but you can feel it.
This month inside the membership, the theme is Moving Into Space. It’s about helping the body feel more open and comfortable through gentle, steady movement. The aim is to move more freely, rather than trying to achieve a deeper stretch.
Most of us aren’t looking for extreme flexibility. We simply want to feel less stiff. Less restricted when bending down. More comfortable when twisting. A little lighter in everyday movement. That’s where this kind of practice becomes useful.
Throughout this month, the sessions focus on creating space gradually. You’ll move in and out of positions, repeat simple patterns, and explore your range in a way that feels manageable. Over time, this begins to add up.
One of the most important parts of this approach is that it feels sustainable. The sessions are designed so you can return to them regularly without feeling like you need a lot of energy or motivation to begin.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Even one or two sessions a week, done regularly, can make a noticeable difference.
We’ll add mobility sessions into our practice, in this context, is about how comfortably you can move within your current range. It shows up in small, everyday movements such as bending down, reaching overhead, turning to look behind you. When these start to feel easier, the benefit carries into daily life, not just your practice.
The monthly calendar is there to guide you as always, but it doesn’t need to be followed perfectly.
You can move through it day by day, or choose sessions depending on how you feel. Some days a full flow will feel right, and on others a shorter session will be enough. Both are equally valuable.
By the end of the month, the aim isn’t a dramatic change in flexibility. It’s a quieter shift. Feeling more comfortable. A little more open. A bit more at ease in your body.
If you’re already a member, you can begin with the April calendar and take it at your own pace.
If you’re not yet a member, this is a very approachable month to start. The sessions are simple, supportive, and easy to fit into your week. You can try everything with a 5-day free trial and see how it feels for you. Here is the link if you would like to explore: https://www.aysegulyoga.com/on-demand-yoga/
Sometimes, it only takes small, steady movement to create space. And from there, things begin to change. 🧘🏻♀️
I am always here with you. Tell me what helps or what you would like to see next month. I will include it in the plan.
Best wishes,
Ayse
